The Member Essentials to Little Green Light sync feature is designed to sync current member profiles in ME to constituent records in LGL and to sync donations/transactions from current members in ME to LGL as gift records. The transaction types that will sync are defined in the tool Accounting Reference Configuration. See the article > Creating Accounting Reference Codes. A transaction eligible to sync will appear in Little Green Light as a gift record attached to the member's constituent record.
Note the sync is not designed to sync non-member transactions or former members.
IMPORTANT, when manually entering or importing former members into LGL, please be sure to include their AJLI ID in the constituent record. This is added in the "AJLI data" section of her LGL constituent record. Including the AJLI ID will ensure that if a former member reinstates, her profile and transactions will then start syncing automatically as the AJLI ID links the LGL constituent record to her profile in ME.
This same rule applies if manually entering current members in LGL. This is generally not done, as the sync feature will sync the member. However, if you need to manually enter a member before the sync is activated, or before the sync has completed the initial sync, be sure to include the AJLI ID.
A gift will sync from Member Essentials to Little Green Light if all of the following are true:
- The Member Essentials profile has a corresponding LGL constituent record with the correct AJLI ID. You can confirm this by finding the constituent record in LGL, and checking the "AJLI data" section. This should show the member's AJLI ID. There will also be a "Member Essentials Link" which will take you to their profile in Member Essentials. If these are shown, then the Member profile will continue to sync successfully to LGL.
- Items (donations, event tickets, etc.) have been tagged with an accounting reference code that has been configured to sync to donor management. See Creating Accounting Reference Codes
- The Member was logged in when she made the purchase from the Simple Store or Paid Events (Dues payments require the member is logged in). You can check this by going to the member's profile in Member Essentials and viewing the Financial section. The purchase should be listed here. If a member made a purchase that is not listed in her profile, this indicates she was not logged into the portal when she made the purchase. Paid events will prompt the user to log in before purchasing event tickets. A similar feature is coming for Simple Store (donations, etc.) later this League year (2024-2025).
