This article will walk through how to view and refund online payments in the Stripe Admin area. Full refunds can be done in Stripe Admin. Partial refunds have to be issued directly from your Stripe account. See Partial Refunds.
For offline transactions, those can be voided through Order Management. See Void an Offline Order / Mark an Order as Refunded.
Required Access:
You will need Stripe Administrator or Administrator access level.
Where to Go:
- Go to Admin > Member Management > Stripe Admin to find a list of all transactions

Viewing Transactions:
- On this page, you'll see a record for each individual transaction.
- Find the transaction you'd like to view using the search fields at the top of each column.
- Click View in the Actions column to view some basic information about the transaction or you can click on the Transaction ID to see a list of itemized transactions.

Full Refunds through Stripe Admin in Member Essentials:
- Find the transaction you'd like to refund and take note of the Transaction ID.
- Click Refund to the left of the Transaction ID
- A popup message will appear with details about your transaction
- Click on Refund to confirm
- After the transaction is refunded, you will see the status updated to "Refunded".

Voiding Online Refunds in Order Management
When you issue a full refund, it will not automatically mark it as "refunded" in Order Management.
- Click on the person icon on the left menu to navigate to Member Management and find Order Management.
- Find your transaction using the filters.
- Below Actions, click on the arrow to void or mark your transaction as refunded.

How to Cancel Registrations From a Paid Event
If you are issuing a refund for a paid event, it will not automatically cancel the registration for an attendee. Please review How to Cancel Registrations From a Paid Event
